Barcelona · 6-9 April, 2027
The Spanish Section of the Combustion Institute is pleased to invite you to the 13th European Combustion Meeting (ECM 2027), taking place in Barcelona, Spain, 6-9 April, 2027.

César Dopazo
President of the Spanish Section
of the Combustion Institute
The ECM has long been a key meeting for researchers, engineers, and practitioners working across all areas of combustion science and technology. In 2027, we aim to build on this strong tradition by fostering an open and dynamic forum where ideas can be shared, new collaborations can emerge, and the next generation of scientists can connect with established leaders in the field. This open and interactive atmosphere makes ECM especially attractive for students and early-career researchers, who are encouraged to present their work, engage in discussions, and take an active role in the community.
ECM 2027 will bring together participants from academia and industry to explore the latest advances in combustion science and its applications. As the field continues to play a key role in the transition toward sustainable and low-emission energy systems, the meeting will highlight innovative research addressing both fundamental challenges and technological solutions, while promoting dialogue across disciplines.
Barcelona, with its distinctive architecture and Mediterranean environment, provides an inspiring location for both scientific exchange and informal interaction. Beyond the meeting sessions, the city offers opportunities to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas in a relaxed environment.
We look forward to welcoming you to Barcelona for ECM 2027.
